A new name has taken the cricket world by surprise after a remarkable debut performance in the Indian Premier League. Fast bowler Praful Hinge created history in his very first IPL appearance by delivering a sensational opening over that dismantled the opposition’s top order.
The 24-year-old pacer, representing Sunrisers Hyderabad, achieved a rare feat during the match against Rajasthan Royals. Praful Hinge became the first player in IPL history to take three or more wickets in the very first over of an innings, marking an extraordinary start to his professional career in the league.
In a dramatic opening spell, Praful Hinge dismissed three key Rajasthan Royals batters-Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Lhuan-dre Pretorius, and Dhruv Jurel-all for zero runs. His fiery bowling immediately put Sunrisers Hyderabad in control of the match. By the end of his spell, Praful Hinge had impressive figures of 4 wickets for 34 runs in four overs, making his debut one of the most memorable in IPL history.

Bought for Base Price in IPL Auction
Interestingly, Praful Hinge was signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad during the IPL auction for ₹30 lakh, which was his base price. Despite being a relatively lesser-known domestic player at the time, the franchise saw potential in the young pacer and decided to add him to their squad. His debut performance has now justified that decision in spectacular fashion.
